Using Twitter for Student Engagement

5/6/2015

Bob Peterson, HS math teacher at Mona Shores shared how over the last year he has been experimenting with using Twitter to engage his students in learning.  He shared some great ideas including the use of lists and hash tags.  He shared how he works with hashtags for quick formative assessment and strategies for using Twitter when students don't have a mobile device.   He also talked about the value of using TweetDeck, a free tool from Twitter for managing multiple Twitter feeds on a single screen.  Click here to watch an archive of his 25 minute presentation.  Click here for a copy of his presentation displayed below.
